ABOUT

Re:la (regarding los angeles) is a collection inspired by the creative culture of Los Angeles. The project was created by Katherine Ross and Angelique Soave celebrating their love of Los Angeles and the creative community that thrives in a county of over 10 million people. The first collection includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, varsity jackets and leather accessories. The products include words or quotes by artists that say things that they love about Los Angeles. Quotes by artists such as Frank Gehry, David Hockney, Werner Herzog, Tacita Dean and Alejandro G. Iñárritu all celebrate the City. The collection will always include an ongoing opportunity to rethink and reimagine the history of Los Angeles, its life and society

The silhouettes in the introductory collection reflect a current tone in fashion but are still nostalgic to their origins. A diverse color palette of light blue, grey, pink, mint, black and white encourages a foundation for the celebrated words.

“I have fallen in love with Los Angeles and the creative spirit of this city. Los Angeles represents to me a city that celebrates life—it is the city of angels and dreamers. It is not just the weather that is so attractive about Los Angeles; it’s the lifestyle, the people and diversity. Los Angeles celebrates those who do not conform to rules and I hope this small collection reflects that spirit. We wanted to find a sophisticated way of showing our love for the city—its past, present and future,” said Katherine Ross, brand co-founder.
